Built on craftsmanship and innovation
In the 1960s, Jan Maes and Maurice De Jonckheere each laid their own foundations in the world of woodworking machinery and tools. While one pioneered the sale of premium brands and sharpening techniques, the other specialised in the production and development of cutting tools. The introduction of carbide, followed later by PCD (polycrystalline diamond), marked a new era for the industry. Both companies fully embraced these developments. Their merger to form Maes Jonker in 2008 was therefore no coincidence, but a strategic move that brought together complementary expertise.
As a family business, we remain true to our roots while looking to the future with ambition. With the Van Canneyt family joining the management team in 2025, we strengthened our vision for the future and continue to build on solid foundations with sustainable growth in mind. Today, our knowledge of materials, machinery, operating parameters and tools translates into high-performance integrated solutions for a wide range of industries. What started as specialised craftsmanship has evolved into an integrated approach that makes production processes smarter, more stable and more profitable.
